2005-06 Throwback Uniforms

The SEC celebrated 80 years of basketball back in 2005. To honor the occasion, every SEC team threw back to a team specific year. Auburn chose 1985, which was the great year of SEC Champions, Sweet 16 appearance, and Charles Barkley.

All SEC teams wore this “Eight Decades” patch-

Auburn’s throwback uniforms looked like this-

Note the black memorial armband on the blue uniforms. I’m currently researching to figure out exactly what the band memorialized, but if anyone knows, please share!

(I said I wanted to complete the 2000s by the weekend, but that goal is getting even tougher. Pictures are few and far between of the years I’m working on. Hopefully I can still hit this goal!)
