Auburn Women’s Basketball Uniform History

Auburn Women’s Basketball has competed since 1971, building a program that includes back-to-back-to-back national runner-up finishes under Joe Ciampi in the 1980s. This archive documents Auburn Tigers women’s basketball uniforms year by year, currently tracing back to 2004 through today’s Nike gear. Auburn Women’s Basketball has largely mirrored the men’s program’s uniform designs in recent years, with a few identities of its own. Pink uniforms entered the rotation in 2011, giving the Tigers a color option unique to the women’s program. The following season brought a more significant change: two new uniforms built around a racerback cut and shorter shorts, intended to appear “more feminine.” The team wore them for just three games at an early-season tournament before shelving them for good.

Every uniform set since has carried Auburn’s Northwestern stripes as part of the design, a detail that’s remained constant through the program’s more recent success.

Uniforms documented and presented here are confirmed to have been worn during a game for the respective season. Research includes utilizing archived photos, newspapers, videos, and more to determine what was worn for each game. If a specific game or uniform can’t be confirmed, or the available photos aren’t clear enough to accurately replicate it, that uniform isn’t added to the lineup.
