Auburn Baseball Uniform History

Since the 2026 season, Auburn Baseball has sported Nike-produced uniforms. For nearly two decades before, the Tigers were outfitted by Under Armour after decades of being partnered with Russell Athletics. When Under Armour took over for the 2006 season, the initial designs were pretty tame. The following year, the Tigers rolled out more unique, outlandish uniforms, especially for a traditional sport like baseball. The Under Armour-to-Nike transition saw the same overall designs stay put with minor tweaks across the board, along with some additional designs added to the rotation.

Hal Baird introduced the alternate uniform with a simple touch in 1995. For all weekend series games, the Tigers would wear “weekend special” ballcaps provided by Anders Bookstore. The new alternate ballcaps featured an orange bill, while the primary hats were all navy. It lasted just one year, and the primary navy headwear was used for every game until the 2004 season. Fast forward to 2016, and Auburn wore two one-day alternate uniforms against Tennessee. Supposedly forced by Under Armour to be worn, the new uniforms featured tapering stripes on the shoulders and pants with the AU logo sitting right on the knee of the pants. They were each worn just once and never seen again.

Today, Auburn has a healthy rotation of uniforms and hats to provide multiple different combinations throughout the season. Since 2023, the Auburn Baseball team has utilized an unofficial uniform schedule, keeping certain color combinations for specific dates.
