The Auburn Uniform Database was born in 2013 to better document the aesthetic history of Auburn Athletics.
Auburn has worn countless uniform designs since its founding in 1856, yet documentation is usually lacking. The original idea was to document the Auburn Men’s Basketball uniforms during the late 1990s and early 2000s, as designs changed almost annually but photographs were impossible to locate or were available in poor quality.
The scope of that project soon became clear and the desire to expand beyond men’s basketball was strong. Soon, football and other sports were added to the list of ongoing projects. To date, nearly 200 combined seasons of Auburn sports are documented on the Auburn Uniform Database, with nearly every Under Armour design since 2006 being accounted for.
Over the years, the Auburn Uniform Database has garnered over one million lifetime views and has been featured on the likes of UniWatch, Sports Illustrated, ESPN, USA Today, al.com, The Athletic, and many more outlets.
Thanks for taking a look around. War Eagle!
