In 2021, Boston College inked a new deal that had New Balance outfit all of the Eagles’ teams on campus – except for football. After wearing Adidas uniforms during this time, BC is now going to be entirely outfitted by New Balance, becoming the first football program to do so.
The new uniforms will continue to sport the throwback Doug Flutie-era BC-Eagle logo on the chest. The Flutie sleeve stripes return, replacing the BC logo on the shoulders.
The beloved Red Bandana uniforms, honoring Sept. 11 hero Welles Crowther, are set to return with the New Balance transition. The new threads feature the bandana pattern prominently on the shoulder caps and within the pants stripe. Previous editions would often include the design in the numbers, the BC logo, and within a stripe on the jerseys.
Georgia Tech and Adidas have once again revamped the football uniforms, and still can’t settle on a design.
The new uniforms will continue to carry the shoulder stripes, but just in two colors this time. The gold in the numbers and stripes retains the metallic finish, which is a nice touch. The third uniform is a new grey color. The new grey shade seems to replace the navy from the previous uniforms – an unfortunate downgrade.
Between the changing shades of gold, the swapping navy for dark grey, and even dumping the stinger stripes, it’s been an odd evolution of GT’s uniforms in recent years.

Louisville is bringing back a classic look, returning to the striped design that head coach Jeff Brohm wore during his playing days for the Cardinals. The jerseys and pants each carry a dual stripe design, with subtle fleur-de-lis in the stripes. The stripes are also cut at an angle to match the Louisville wordmark. The bird head logo sits on the collar, supposedly for the first time since 2004.
The Cardinals will also sport a black jersey this season, but with more traditional stripes on the sleeves and a classic block wordmark font to match the block numbers. Unfortunately, the team didn’t showcase the full uniform or announce when they would be worn.
Back in December, Miami updated their branding standards to include a new, more muted shade of orange. With the change, the U logo has been updated.
Uniform-wise, two jerseys have leaked that are likely going to be worn this season. The first is a throwback to the 1945 Orange Bowl-winning team, with an orange jersey, large green numerals, and white Northwestern Stripes on the sleeves. The second is the seemingly annual black alternate uniform, this time featuring white numbers with green and orange outlines and green and orange stripes on the sleeves. Neither has been officially revealed at the time of publishing, however.
Raleigh, NC is nicknamed the “City of Oaks,” and NC State is fully embracing that with a new red alternate uniform. The jersey includes a unique pattern based on the cap of an acorn, reminiscent of the old Adidas tire tread templates. An acorn also sits on the new script NC State, which is inspired by an old neon sign in downtown. Northwestern stripes are placed on the helmets, jerseys, and pants, with the jersey stripes being placed diagonally over the shoulders like some previous Wolfpack uniforms.
Recent rumors have begun to swirl that North Carolina, now with Bill Belichick at the helm, has “ordered throwback uniforms from the 1980 season.” For years, teams and manufacturers have stated that it often takes a year or more to fulfill such orders. We will have to wait and see if these come to fruition and hit the field, but as of now, I’m personally skeptical.
The Panthers have updated their jerseys to be on Nike’s Vapor FUSE template.
No longer to be called the American Athletic Conference, the American Conference has adjusted their branding for the upcoming season. With the name adjustment, AAC has also been removed from appropriate names.
Along with the name tweak, the conference has also introduced a new mascot – Soar the Eagle. The full-body eagle mascot logo can sport some different uniforms, and would likely have a sport-specific look for each sponsored sport. Regardless, it has a little bit of an uncanny AI-designed feel to it.

The Charlotte 49ers have revealed a new set of uniforms with UCLA stripes on the shoulders and a double stripe on the pants. The helmets carry a brick-patterned stripe now, too. After initial reactions were underwhelming due to the removal of gold, the team announced the gold helmets would return, but would also carry the brick stripe.
Charlotte’s new head coach, Tim Albin, was previously with the Ohio Bobcats, who carried a similar green-and-white color scheme and simple uniform design. Ohio wore special brick decals last year for the 100th “Battle of the Bricks” game against Miami (OH). Albin has apparently carried the brick motif with him to Charlotte, where he has honored “brick earners” for helping set the foundation of the new program.
After a nine-year run with chrome purple helmets, the ECU Pirates are returning to a traditional glossy finish.
Memphis has updated their grey jerseys to feature white outlines on the numbers and wordmark, a small but mighty upgrade from the previous design.
USF is starting a new tradition this season in which a defensive lineman will be selected to wear #63 in honor of Lee Roy Selmon. Selmon played at Oklahoma before being drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After his playing days, Selmon joined USF’s athletic department and even served as athletic director. Selmon was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame, the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and the Oklahoma Hall of Fame before passing in 2011 following complications from a stroke.
Josh Celiscar, a graduate student from Texas A&M, was selected to be the first honoree to wear #63. A special patch depicting Selmon and his #63 will be added to Celiscar’s jersey this year.

Temple’s glorious diamond pattern returns to full glory with the Owl’s new uniforms. The diamonds run down the helmet, around the jersey collar, and along the side of the pants. The primary T logo returns to both shoulders while the new alternate T-Owl logo debuts on the uniforms, being placed on the collar.
The Green Wave have updated their uniforms to the Nike Vapor FUSE template. Tulane has also announced a new deal with BSN that will keep them wearing Nike uniforms.
After two seasons with the white-striped green jerseys, the UAB Blazers have cleaned things up a bit for 2025.
After years with Adidas, UTSA has jumped over to Nike. The new uniforms carry a simple two-stripe design on the sleeves and pants, with the roadrunner head logo sitting on the collar.
UTSA will also add a special patch to certain player jerseys to honor the student-athletes who are the first in their family to attend college. The university proudly supports first-generation students, with about 45% of the student population being comprised of such students. All Roadrunner programs will honor these student-athletes with the special patch moving forward.
After years of the Gophers wearing PJ Fleck’s Row the Boat oar stripes, it appears Minnesota will finally revert back to a traditional helmet stripe.

Memorial Stadium will feature a new turf field this season, complete with a larger midfield logo and red endzones and borders. The previous design was a little bland in comparison.
The Huskers will also sport a new black uniform – the first since 2020 – when hosting USC on Nov 1. The jerseys and pants are both solid black with white stripes, as the white helmet features a black stripe, N decals, and black facemask.
Northwestern Basketball has worn alternate designs that the team creates for a few years now. It looks like this tradition may be making its way to the football program. A new black alternate jersey appeared on the team’s online store, featuring diagonal stripes on the shoulders, the script Wildcats mark on the chest, and an interesting stencil number font.
It hasn’t been officially revealed, but sources indicate this uniform will see action this season.
Everyone loves sport-specific mascot logos, and Purdue has three new Pete logos, including a football design based on former Boilermaker Drew Brees.
The Scarlet Knights are returning to Nike (via BSN) after wearing Adidas uniforms since 2017. The uniform design will remain basically the same – red and white jerseys with white chestmark and numbers outlined in black. Rutgers has also announced that the blackout uniforms will return for the Sept. 19th Iowa game, but no full images of the uniform have been revealed yet.
The purple-on-purple stripes are no more! Washington updated to the newest Adidas template and took the opportunity to bring back the three stripes on the sleeves. Both the white and purple tops prominently feature the stripes. The unique element with this uniform set is that the shoulder stripes still taper slightly and the pant stripes abruptly end at a point right above the knee.
Arizona and Nike have signed an extension to continue their partnership through the 2032-33 athletic season.
The Sun Devils have adopted Adidas’ new template and made a few design tweaks with the new uniforms. The Arizona State wordmark returns to the front of the chest for the first time since 2017. The shoulders have a subtle set of seams to represent the sun rays, similar to the state flag. ASU hasn’t announced that Sparky would be the primary helmet decal, but it has been the design most prominently shown in photos. The team has also teased that additional reveals would be coming soon.

It’s been since 2017 that Baylor has sported a chrome helmet, but it’s returning this season. All signs point to the Bears wearing the chrome gold shells with black uniforms for the season opener against Auburn, though it hasn’t been officially confirmed.
The Cougars have updated their uniforms to the Nike Vapor FUSE template. BYU has also announced their uniform schedule for the season.
The Bearcats have knocked it out of the park with their new 2025 uniforms. The new threads include the “Cincy Stripe 2.0,” which is based on the C-Paw logo on the shoulders. It’s reminiscent of the Under Armour stripes worn for a few years, but done in a much cleaner manner. Red helmets and jerseys return, with the tops featuring the new Cincy script mark. Cincinnati is also sporting a new custom number font based on the team wordmark and includes unique notches in the corners based on the claws from the C-Paw logo.
Houston has updated to the Nike Vapor FUSE template and took the opportunity to make a few tweaks to the design. The jerseys now include contrasting colored collars and sleeve cuffs, with a script “Houston” mark on the chest. The Houston Oilers throwback blue uniform returns, as the school continues to disregard the NFL’s cease-and-desist on the color.

Red helmets return to Ames for the first time since 2019. The team showcased the new shells with the I-State logo and red facemasks, along with a beautiful script Cyclones mark, triple stripe decal, and a white mask.
The red Cyclones helmet will debut this weekend when Iowa State faces Kansas State in Ireland. A unique front helmet bumper has been created to incorporate the Irish flag design on either side of the Jack Trice stripes.
Iowa State will also have a memorial decal on the back of their helmets, honoring Alex Ernst, a video production specialist for the program who died in a car wreck over the summer. A scholarship fund was also created in Ernst’s honor.
The Jayhawks have been busy renovating their home stadium. The team played a few home games at the local Major League Soccer stadium and even the Kansas City Chiefs’ stadium last year. The newly renovated David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium has a new turf field – complete with wheat plants in the blue endzones. A new logo for “The Booth” was also created.
As for the Jayhawks’ uniforms, Kansas will sport a new white road jersey this year. Sitting on the latest Adidas template, the new look includes a large blue Kansas wordmark on the chest and bold red numbers, both in the school’s beloved Circus font. The Jayhawk head logo replaces the stripes on the shoulders. Kansas also showed off the new tops with just about every helmet/pant combination they have available.
Opening the season in Ireland against Iowa State, the Wildcats will sport a unique helmet featuring a keltic knot stripe, the Irish flag, and shamrock decals.

The best uniforms of the offseason easily go to Texas Tech with their spectacular throwback-inspired 100th anniversary design. The overall design incorporates elements from many different eras of Tech football. The chestmark is from 1925, the first team in program history. The double T logo first appeared in 1926. The double T and friction stripes on the sleeves were worn in 1930. Uniform numbers were first added in 1935, with the font mimicking the team from 90 years ago. The stripes on the pants are based on the mid-1960s Masked Rider and the horse. The helmet also features a few red stars based on the 1969 award decals.
Many teams have struggled to force throwback elements into modern uniforms, but Tech did it all so well. And instead of sticking to one single season’s look, this design incorporates all of these eras so well. This design should be celebrated as the new standard for many years to come.
Tech has also released a 100th anniversary logo, though it doesn’t appear to be worn on the uniforms.
The UCF Knights will be sporting new uniforms this season with a throwback flair. A new number font enfuses the 1998 Dante Culpepper-era drop-shadow with the 2013 Blake Bortles number font, along with other details from more recent seasons. The subtle Pegasus logo on the shoulders returns (a personal favorite). And the pants include three stars to “represent UCF’s past, present, and future.” Sure. A new “Rise and Conquer” bumper will also appear on the front of the helmet.
West Virginia had a busy offseason. The turf field at Milan Puskar Stadium has been replaced. The new carpet removes the white in the endzone text and uses the new WV logo at midfield with the thinner outlines. WVU originally announced the turf design would include stripes in the endzone and a larger blue border.
Uniform-wise, the matte navy helmets have been replaced with traditional glossy shells, including a nice yellow flake in the finish. The Mountaineers have also revealed a beautiful new throwback uniform harkening back to the 1965 season. The new threads feature a navy jersey with dark gold numbers, with the helmet and pants also carrying the same gold scheme. The helmets include a throwback light blue West Virginia decal with the stacked WVU logo.
The Blue Hens are set to play their first season as an FBS team. With the move, Delaware’s jerseys will include a new conference patch. Also, player names are added to the back of the jersey, possibly for the first time in program history.

The Owls have revealed a new set of uniforms for the 2025 season. The white and black colorways each feature owl feathers on the shoulders. Kennesaw State is also taking a chapter out of the professional basketball/baseball playbook by having the school name on the chest of the road jerseys and the team nickname on the home tops.
The turf field at Floyd Stadium was replaced this summer. The new carpet looks to have a deeper shade of blue in the endzones and around the border. The endzones now read Middle Tennessee on both sides, replacing Raiders on the previous design. A subtle Tennessee state shape is placed at midfield right behind the MT-Pegasus logo.
Reports have indicated that Middle Tennessee has limited themselves to just one helmet and two jerseys this season to save money to pay players in the new NIL world. Napkin math has made it difficult to replicate the $668,000 in savings that the school has stated, but kudos to them for showing some restraint in the uniform department.
Another first-year FBS program, Missouri State has added the C-USA patch to their jerseys.
The Aggies have a new home crimson jersey on Under Armour’s latest template. The new design includes white tapered stripes that wrap around the shoulders with black placed underneath.
A recent trend in college athletics is having unique logos having the mascot playing each sport. Sam Houston has now introduced a lineup of custom Sammy marks, with the Bearkat playing football, volleyball, soccer, and golf. Additional marks for the other sports are expected in the coming months.
A new grey alternate has been leaked on social media thanks to a classic bathroom mirror photo. The design was also shown off at a local event benefiting the football program.
UTEP’s swinging minor logo has appeared on a couple of helmets in the program’s history, but it will now don a white shell. The orange and navy stripes down the center help tie this look together.
Buffalo has updated to Nike’s Vapor FUSE template this season. The school also announced an extension of their partnership with Nike (via Legends, a live events and merchandise company). The new deal will run through the 2029-30 season.

The Ohio Bobcats have upgraded the white jerseys to a newer Adidas template (not the newest, however) and bring back the UCLA shoulder stripes for the first time since 2017.
Toledo has adopted the Nike Vapor FUSE template for their blue jerseys at least. The new tops retain the same design as the previous jerseys, but replace the collar logo with a chestmark.
Previously a MAC member, UMass played as an independent between 2016 and 2024. Now, the Minutemen have returned to the Mid-American Conference and will once again feature the MAC logo on their jerseys.
The Broncos will sport a new white uniform this season, matching the home gold tops with three stripes on the sleeves and pants. The previous design had two brown UCLA stripes on the shoulders and on the pants.
The Air Force athletic teams are each going to wear new Space Force uniforms this season. For football, that means black jerseys and pants. A beautiful blue helmet features USSF on the left side and a NASA-esque AF logo on the right.
The annual Air Power Legacy Series uniforms will pay homage to the F-16 fighter jet this season. The helmet is designed to mimic a pilot’s helmet (feels a little like the Iowa Barnstormers, but infinitely better). The pants feature the jet’s official name, Fighting Falcon, on the right leg with the nickname, Viper, on the left side. Unique squadron patches will don the front of the jersey as one of four tail flashes will replace the standard nameplate on the back.

Since 2008, Hawaii has worn Under Armour and then Adidas uniforms. Now, the Warriors are returning to Nike (via BSN). The new threads are based on the Colt Brennan-era design, with the number font returning and the patterned stripe sitting just on the left shoulder. The 2005 uniforms had a matching stripe around the left thigh, but the new design carries the pattern on the sides of the pants.
The Wolfpack are bringing back the script Pack matte navy helmets this season after being shelved since 2019.

The Lobos have new Nike Vapor FUSE uniforms that, for some reason, feature Michigan State’s pattern on the pants and collars.
First introduced in 2015, SDSU’s Aztec Calendar uniforms will return for another season, now on Nike’s Vapor FUSE template. The white pants are a new addition and can make a nice uniform combination.
New blue tops for the Spartans are based on the latest Under Armour template with the UA logo at the center of the collar. The white jerseys will remain the same as last year.

Arkansas is set to kinda-sorta retire Darren McFadden’s #5. Rather than officially retire it and remove it from rotation, the Razorbacks are adding a special McFadden patch to the jerseys for the current players wearing #5. That includes WR Ja’Kayden Ferguson and DL Cameron Ball. McFadden’s #5 will, however, be displayed inside the stadium next to the program’s retired numbers – Clyde Scott’s #12 and Brandon Burlsworth’s #77.

After an 18-year relationship with Under Armour, Auburn has switched to Nike. The new uniforms keep the traditional design on Nike’s newest Vapor FUSE template. The “Auburn” on the chest is slightly larger than in previous years. The Tigers also took the opportunity to change up the helmet bumpers, returning to the Copperplate font. And another minor tweak, the facemask clips and visor clips will now match the facemask color.
For the first time since 2021, the Gators will wear their spectacular throwback uniforms. The blue jerseys with orange and white UCLA stripes are now set on the Vapor FUSE template from Nike.
It’s been a busy offseason in Starkville. The Bulldogs are adopting the latest Adidas template. The transition features a few tweaks, including the script State logo on the collar, the jersey stripes taper on the front, and the pants stripes are a little thinner.
When Miss. State hosts Tennessee on Sept. 27th, they’ll do so wearing white uniforms at home. The Bulldogs will break out the interlocking MSU throwback logo on the helmets, which comes with some other history.
And they aren’t done yet. Mississippi State will wear an all black uniform – the program’s first since 2020. The new threads are a recolor of the standard uniforms. White stripes don the jersey and pants, while a white/maroon/white stripe runs down the helmet. A white script State decal sits on the sides of the helmet shell.
After sporting larger C-Gamecock decals with the throwback uniforms last season, South Carolina is going to stick with the bigger logos full-time this season. SC also announced a new sponsor on the playing surface.
For the last few years, Tennessee has sported an alternate Smokey Grey uniform for a single game. This year’s edition is a military appreciation design, while also honoring the Volunteer State’s history. The Volunteer Spirit uniform features a new “Davey (Crocket) Stripe” on the helmets, jersey sleeves, and pants, based on Crocket’s “fringed uniform.” A unique stencil number is used to mimic fonts used on military vehicles. The Vol-Star logo returns to a Tennessee uniform, positioned on the right hip of the pants and on the front of the helmet bumper. The beloved Smokey Mountain helmet returns for its fifth iteration.
Tennessee also announced that they would be returning to Adidas for the 2026 season. UT had been with Nike since 2015. The new deal reportedly will see Adidas help fund the Volunteers’ NIL programs.

Arkansas State has unveiled a stunning chrome red helmet featuring white “Red Wolves” script decals.
A few new updates for the team out of Lafayette. The Ragin’ Cajuns have updated to the latest Adidas template. The design remains basically the same from last year, except for the shoulder stripes have a taper on the front edge, the collar turning white, and the fluer-de-lis logo placed on the center of the collar. Louisiana also revealed their helmet lineup, with the black and white shells being shown with new decal sets.
ULM has long sported Warhawk military appreciation uniforms, turning the alternate helmet into the primary look last season. This year, a new matte black helmet is being introduced with the star-circle logo on the sides.

The Thundering Herd are wearing new Vapor FUSE uniforms this season, featuring black/white/green/white/black stripes on both the green and white tops. The new jerseys also debut a brand new custom number font built to mimic the team’s primary logo.
Marshall previously wore green helmets back in 2009 and fans have begged for them to return ever since. After years of refusing, Marshall will once again wear green shells this season. The new matte green lids mimic the original design and will make for great combinations, including the return of the Green Beans look.
At an industry trade show, ODU revealed a new helmet design featuring a throwback walking lion mascot decal. The team confirmed they would be worn this season for a game.
The Irish will break out their alternate green uniforms against Boise State on Oct. 4th.
New Nike Vapor FUSE jerseys this season for the UConn Huskies. Oddly enough, they’ve worn these in practice sessions this fall, something you don’t see for most programs.
The Governors will have new white jerseys this year, set on Under Armour’s latest template. The most notable design change is the red collar. At least the UA logo and conference patch aren’t sitting on the same side anymore.
The Charleston Southern Buccaneers have new blue uniforms this season. The new Nike Vapor FUSE jerseys include a three-stripe pattern on the sleeves, gold numbers outlined in white, and a white Bucs script outlined in gold. The old tops had UCLA stripes and what looks like a lighter shade of gold.

The Chattanooga Mocs have new Adidas uniforms this year, with tiny stripes on the sides of the jersey torso and pants at the end of the leg. The home navy jerseys have “Scenic City,” Chattanooga’s nickname, on the chest with a large Power C logo on the shoulders. The previous uniforms were rather simple, with numbers on the shoulders and stripes on the pants.
Texas A&M University-Commerce changed the school’s name to East Texas A&M last November. The football team sported new helmet decals for the final two games of the season. Now, the team has new navy uniforms with the new school name on the chest and the ET logo on the hips.
The Rattlers have upgraded to the Vapor FUSE template from Nike this season. The orange jerseys remain pretty simple, while the white tops add a set of stripes to match the helmets, and the green jerseys add an orange USC-like stripe on the shoulders.
Fordham University has unveiled a wonderful new Gothic F logo as the new academic logo. The release announcement also indicates that the new branding will make its way to athletics in the spring. This likely means the F-Ram logo will be retired or revamped this time next year.

The Runnin’ Bulldogs have a new white helmet option this season, featuring the GW logo on the sides and a unique red and black stripe that almost mimics a baseball stitching pattern.
Grambling will once again be featured in Adidas’ alternate uniform program, this time featuring a nice set of tiger stripes on the shoulders and pants. It’s similar to the Cincinnati Bengals, but somehow feels like it’s done a little better.
The Hampton Pirates have retired their pirate logo and moved the HU with crossed swords to the primary logo. The HU had been worn on the football helmets, so don’t expect a change there. Hampton also tweaked the blue to a slightly brighter shade.
The Crimson have transitioned to the Vapor FUSE template from Nike for 2025. Along with the new jerseys comes a new pair of white pants with two crimson red stripes.
The Howard Bison have added a new grey Jordan Brand jersey to the rotation this season, along with new white pants. The jerseys showcase a white collar, white USC-like shoulder stripes, and the Bison head logo on the shoulders. The trousers have a navy stripe on just the right side with the Bison wordmark.
The Vandals have revealed a new helmet option with a throwback Viking logo. The team didn’t announce when they would be worn, though.
The Lindenwood Lions are now utilizing the latest Under Armour template and took the opportunity to add stripes to the jerseys and helmets. Previously, only the pants carried the Northwestern stripes while the helmets had two tapering stripes.
Marist is the latest New York institution to move from College to University status. The primary academic logo reflects the change, but the athletic marks did not necessitate an upgrade. The Red Foxes football team has made a small tweak, however, making their previously matte white helmets now have a glossy finish.

The Cowboys have updated to Under Armour’s latest template and took the opportunity to add yellow UCLA stripes to the shoulders. The matching yellow collar may push this to overload status, but I personally like the pop of color. The previous jerseys were very simple.
The Bobcats are transitioning to the latest Under Armour template. The sleeve stripes see a slight tweak as the stripes themselves become a little more defined. The white and gold pants also see matching stripes added. The previous gold pants were stripeless.
The New Haven Chargers have made the jump from D-II to D-1 FCS this season. The school has promoted the secondary horse head logo to primary status and adjusted the shade of navy. The football team, unfortunately, has not shown off their new conference patch on the jerseys as of publishing.
The University of Northern Iowa has proudly placed the school’s initials on the front of their jerseys (get it? UNI unis?). The new tops have purple collars, a purple USC-style shoulder stripe, and large numerals. The only downgrade is the loss of yellow, which added a nice pop to the old jerseys. The Panthers will also have new helmet bumpers, now featuring the primary logo inside the state of Iowa.
After wearing Nike uniforms for many years, NDSU is now an Under Armour school. The first iteration of the Bison’s uniforms will include triple-stiped sleeves, contrasting colored collars and sleeve cuffs, and a single large green stripe on the pants.

2025 will mark Richmond’s first season in the Patriot League. The Spiders will celebrate with a new red helmet, the first red shell in the modern era of Richmond football.
It’s not often that a team moving away from Northwestern striped jerseys feels like an upgrade, but RMU’s new look is pretty sharp. The new Under Armour jerseys match a white USC-style stripe with contrasting collars and cuffs. The pants utilize a white/red/blue/red/white stripe. It’s just different enough to not be as overwhelming as the previous design (and that’s coming from someone who loves Northwestern stripes).
The Golden Eagles will be sporting a new purple helmet with script “Tech” decals on the sides. It’s the first purple helmet for TTU since 2015.
UC Davis has the (Lake) Tahoe Environmental Research Center and is utilizing special light blue uniforms across most sports on campus to “celebrate [the] bold scientific breakthroughs.” The football program will wear the new CA-Tahoe logo on their white helmets and on the shoulders of their new powder blue jerseys.
Utah Tech is returning to the buffalo head logo on their helmets this season. It was last worn in 2022, the first year after the school changed its name from Dixie State. A digi-camo helmet decal will also be worn during the Military Appreciation game against Northern Iowa.
VMI has released a new set of logos featuring the team mascot, Moe the Kangaroo. The Moe marks incorporate many military themes. VMI also introduced a new Keydets wordmark and custom font.

The Emporia State Hornets have added new chrome gold facemasks to be used with their black and white helmets. The white shells will carry gold ESU decals as well. Previously, the facemask colors matched the helmet color, and the team would utilize a variety of decal designs.
The Golden Knights of Erie, Pennsylvania, have a new suite of logos to supplement the primary knight logo. The GU on the knight’s shield was previously used as a standalone logo, so this is a massive upgrade.
The NGU Crusaders have moved from the Gulf South Conference to the Conference Carolinas. The team has also added a new white helmet with script “The Ville” decals. Last year, they wore red helmets with an interlocking NG logo.
The RiverHawks are going to be sporting a brand new white jersey this season. The old jerseys had a green collar and NSU on the chest rather than Northeastern.

The Pitt State Gorillas will sport new white uniforms for the home opener to celebrate legendary coach Carnie Smith and the 1957 and 1961 teams he coached to NAIA championships. The jerseys will feature a special patch commemorating Smith and his titles. Jersey stripes are designed to mimic the 1957 team’s uniforms, as the helmet number (only on the left side) matches what the team wore in 1961.
The University of Sioux Falls Cougars have a new branding identity this year, moving from the crawling full-body cougar silhouette to a stacked USF logo with a cat head image. A full suite of logos was released, with the full-body cougar on the USF being my favorite.
The UTPB Falcons have added a new black jersey and orange helmet to the rotation this season. The orange shell will carry an oil rig image as well. The Falcons will wear the orange/black/black combination for the first time in the program’s (short) history in their season opener.
The Beloit College Buccaneers have retired the Bucco Bruce knockoff for a skeleton head pirate logo of their own. Fun fact: Beloit is considered the first college in the country to pick the Buccaneers nickname!

The Dickinson Red Devils have updated their black jerseys to the latest Under Armour template to match the white tops.
The McMurry War Hawks will play on a new silver and maroon striped turf field.
The Purple Raiders have added a slew of new logos to the collection, including a great pair of Block Ms with a sword. The RAIDERS wordmark has been tweaked, and I’d imagine the football helmets would reflect this update.
The Sagehens have cleaned up their branding this year, retiring the classic mascot logo as the primary in favor of a Double-P logo. The Cecil mascot logo has been redesigned and will stick around as a secondary logo, as well as a full-body walking design.
The Sewanee Tigers of Tennessee have redesigned their logo set and introduced a new tiger head logo and wordmark design. The full suit shows the many different designs, including the classic Gothic S logo, which has seen many tiny tweaks.
Another year and another 100+ schools listed.
The college football season starts in just a few days, and these new changes will make their on-field debut.
