Clint Richardson founded the Auburn Uniform Database in 2013 and has spent the thirteen years since cataloging the aesthetic history of Auburn Athletics, documenting nearly 400 seasons of uniforms across eight sports programs and the marching band. What started as a personal research project has grown into the most complete public archive of Auburn’s uniform history, referenced and featured by ESPN, Sports Illustrated, On3, and Alabama outlets including al.com, WJOX, and the Montgomery Advertiser.
The work goes beyond spotting what changed. Every Auburn Uniform Database deep dive traces the what, but also the why and the how. Many times, those small changes are related to a manufacturer template tweak and not a specifically chosen design change. These stories are incredibly detailed, providing more information about every element than many would ever think possible.
