The Auburn Uniform Database is dedicated to documenting the rich and evolving history of Auburn University Athletics through its uniforms.
What began as a summer project in 2013 – focused on cataloging Auburn Men’s Basketball uniforms – quickly grew into a comprehensive resource for Auburn sports fans and anyone interested in athletic aesthetics.
The journey started with a challenge: dating photos and identifying uniforms from Auburn basketball, particularly from the late 1990s and early 2000s, when resources were sparse and the quality of available images was often low. That project soon expanded to include football, baseball, and other sports. Today, the Auburn Uniform Database includes nearly 400 combined seasons of uniforms and every design worn during the Under Armour era for each program.
Researching and documenting these uniforms has not been without its challenges. From combing through every volume of the Glomerata, scouring newspaper archives, to exploring Auburn Library’s special collections, each uniform and design has come with its own quest for validation, one fact or photo at a time. However, these efforts are what make the Auburn Uniform Database an invaluable resource for both Auburn fans and beyond.
Auburn University is a place of immense pride and tradition, and the uniforms worn by its athletes over the years are a tangible reflection of that history. This site provides fans a chance to stroll down memory lane, reliving the iconic looks that have defined the university’s athletic programs.
Whether you’re an Auburn fan or just someone who appreciates athletic aesthetics, the Auburn Uniform Database is the perfect place to explore the intersection of design, tradition, and sports.
