As football season quickly approaches, the newest apparel items for the year are being rolled out. Over the last few months, Under Armour has released many new items through their numerous channels. As is tradition here at the Auburn Uniform Database, let’s take a look at much of the 2022 line.
Each of the items listed here was made available through Fanatics, Dick’s Sporting Goods, or Under Armour’s own website. As an affiliate partner with all three companies, purchasing any item through the following links will support the work that goes into this website.
As always, this is never a comprehensive list of every item available this year. Certain items are often only available in-store, so always check out the local bookstores when you visit campus. Different designs and color options vary by website and store. And be sure to keep up with any of the new releases throughout the season by following on Twitter.

With each new season of football comes another line of apparel. Auburn and Under Armour have slowly rolled out this year’s apparel line over the summer months. In what is the fifth edition of this series, you will find brief overviews and listed prices of much of this year’s merchandise available.
This overview is meant to guide fans through what is available most of the time. These listings have all been found on Fanatics unless otherwise noted. Images shown will feature what was available on Fanatics at the time of publishing. If you visit any store on or around campus, their selection may differ. More merchandise will most likely be available in person that isn’t online.
Even with Auburn announcing a new logo recently, the changes won’t go into effect until next year. That goes for merchandise and apparel as well. It may be the spring that new logo merchandise appears, but I wouldn’t expect to see anything reflect the change during football season.
Clicking on the photos or links will send you to the product page on Fanatics. Each link is part of the Fanatics Affiliate Program, so any purchases made through this page will generate funds to support the Auburn Uniform Database.
The sideline hat theme for the new season is rather unique, as Under Armour’s base template features a band across the back that contrasts from most of the crown. It feels more like a trucker hat, but isn’t entirely mesh-based on the back. Available in fitted and adjustable styles, both at $31.99.
Prefer a more simple hat design? Take the classic structured hat. It’s a better price also, listed at $23.99. Fanatics only lists adjustable styles, however.
Polos
There’s two new styles of sideline polos this season. Which will be worn on field is yet to be seen.
The first design released this summer is a really nice set of chest stripes that go around one of the sleeves. I’m hoping these will be the primary sideline shirts as they’re such an attractive design. Available in blue, orange, and white styles at $79.99.
The second polo design might end up being the sideline polo and also carries some stripes. The front torso has a large area of white stripes separated by a contrasting colored stripe underneath the buttons. The stripes don’t carry over to the back side, however. Unfortunately, the stacked logos from last year returns. Thankfully the Under Armour logo is slightly smaller this time around. You can grab one one yourself for $89.99.
Also available are simple, single-color polos. They come in orange and blue, according to Fanatics, but expect a white colorway also. They won’t hurt the wallet as much, priced at $64.99.
T-Shirts
This season’s sideline t-shirt is … well, not good. For whatever reason, Under Armour wanted to make the main aspect of the shirt off centered and lower than chest level. It’s all text, too, no imagery, which makes for an odd look. The location-based information isn’t a bad choice, but poorly executed here. For $44.99, I imagine most will skip over this one. Also available in orange and white. The women’s style is a bit different, with Auburn placed on the bottom hem and War Eagle on the back.
Simple logo t-shirts are often a big hit. No glitz and glamour needed with this design. The AU-logo t-shirts come in a wide range of colors, including a second, darker grey. They’ll run you $34.99 regardless of color choice.
While the primary sideline tees are a bust, these are much better. Under Armour has loved using stripes in their apparel over the last few years. These shirts will run at $29.99. This is the design that will be used for other sports, but expect those to be solely for the athletes. It’s unfortunate that Soccer, Softball, Basketball, and others don’t get retail releases.
Similar to the previous design, this shirt features a much larger set of letters, stripes, and the AU logo. These are priced at $34.99 and will more than likely only be available for Football.
Don’t want to buy any shirts with the “old” AU logo with a “new” visual identity on the way? Skip the logo shirts and go with the simple wordmark shirts. It’ll cost $34.99.
Or grab a classic arched wordmark shirt with the AU logo. At $29.99, this will be a popular option.
The most unique t-shirt of this line features a nice football icon with the AU logo over top. It will be available at $29.99. Really hope this design is used for other sports.
Long Sleeves
Many of the long sleeve shirts are based on their short sleeve counterparts. That goes for the striped sideline design. Naturally there’s a bit of an upcharge for the extra material, and these will run at $34.99.
The large AU logo shirts are also available with long sleeves for $39.99.
The classic arched wordmark shirt has an extra feature on the long sleeves – War Eagle placed on the sleeve. These are priced at $39.99.
Jerseys
Auburn will be wearing a new jersey template for 2019, so that means the retail jerseys will reflect the changes. The biggest change is to the collars on the white jerseys, as they are now white as opposed to blue. Fanatics lists #1 and #34 as the available numbers, but #2 jerseys have been seen elsewhere. Base replica models will run at $94.00, while youth sizes will cost $74.99.
The best improvement to retail jerseys is the addition of premium jerseys featuring stitched numbers and embroidered chestmarks and logos. The additional cost is well worth the price tag, as numbers won’t break and crack like their screen printed counterparts. They’ll run at $119.99 but you won’t be buying another one for a while.
Alumni jerseys have been rather popular lately, as popular player’s names can finally appear on retail jerseys once they’ve left school. At the time of publishing this article, only Kerryon Johnson has been added to Fanatics’s website. Expect more former Auburn Tigers to appear on the new template, as there have been many names used previously. These feature screen printed graphics rather than any embroidery. They’ll unfortunately have the NFLPA logo stamped underneath the rear numbers. The one available currently is priced at $109.99.
Jackets
The 2019 sideline jacket features the stacked logos and a contrasting stripe on the shoulder. It will cost $119.99.
If you like the look of the previous design, but want some extra color (and save some money), this quarter-zip with nice contrasting sleeve stripes would be perfect. $89.99.
Under Armour put a “new twist on a classic” hoodie with a “unique pattern to give a one-of-a-kind look.” Yes, that’s really what the product description says. It’s an odd pattern on a hoodie, so of course it’ll run $79.99.
Go for a clean look with this white/grey full-zip hoodie for $129.99.
Hopefully you will stay warm and dry with this grey rain jacket. $89.99.
This classy pullover jacket features a collar-snap rather than a traditional zipper. It’s priced at $64.99.
If you prefer a traditional quarter-zip, go with this grey pullover for $74.99.
If white is more your style, this pullover would be a great choice. $84.99.
The final jacket showcased might be the warmest option. This all fleece navy jacket will cost $89.99 and I sure hope it’s as comfy as it looks.
Shorts
Shorts see a nice price tag increase, jumping $10 from last year to $64.99. The busy dot-pattern adds a lot of character to the sides of this year’s shorts. At least they have pockets.
A first for this series, Fanatics listed women’s shorts online. The white shorts with navy details feature an interesting pattern sublimated. They’re priced at $39.99.
Shoes
(image via Auburn University Bookstore)
This year’s Under Armour shoes go back to white with orange and blue details. The Auburn logo is placed on the inside of the heel rather than the tongue like previous editions. The athletes were issued a navy shoe that, personally, looks a whole lot better.
The inner sole of the shoes feature an eagle head image, the same one Auburn wore on base layers and gloves in the 2014 Outback Bowl.
They’re also a little bit more expensive this year, priced at $120.
For even more Auburn gear, be sure to check out the Auburn Uniform Database shop. Multiple designs are available on many different products, including t-shirts. Your purchase goes back to support this site. Be sure to follow the Auburn Uniform Database for more apparel releases throughout the year. With each new season of football comes another line of apparel. Auburn and Under Armour have slowly rolled out this year’s apparel line over the summer months. In what is the fourth edition of this article, you will find brief overviews and listed prices of much of this year’s merchandise available.
This overview is meant to guide fans through what is available most of the time. These listings have all been found on Fanatics unless otherwise noted. If you visit any store on or around campus, their selection may differ. More merchandise will most likely be available in person that isn’t online.

Hats
Most apparel manufacturers create a product with very few differences across the multiple teams provided. Under Armour created a “line matrix” type pattern that you will see throughout the sideline gear this year. The main coaches caps feature the pattern up and around the front two panels. The front line of the bill contrasts with the rest of the bill. Only the blue and white versions are listed online, but expect to find orange caps in stores. These run at $29.99 and come in fitted and adjustable styles.
If you prefer the more relaxed fit hats without any extra details, grab this cap. It comes in fitted and adjustable styles as well, and are priced at $31.99.
This year will see two styles of visors available. While they might look similar, they differ in both build and size. The first style, seen above, is what I would consider a “Steve Spurrier” style visor, with the top of the front panel a bit larger. Under Armour is calling this the “Renegade Closer” style. It will cost you $24.99.
The second style of visor is the more traditional one, the type Gus Malzahn has worn. These are called the “Airvent Performance,” per Under Armour. These, for some reason, are priced a bit higher at $29.99.
For those of you looking to have a bit more protection from the sun, you can grab a new bucket hat for $39.99.
Polos
When Under Armour decides on a new design element, they place it just about everywhere. The coaches sideline polo will also carry the dot/line pattern across the top of the shoulders. It also goes down the back of the shirt a little bit, with the Northwestern stripes sitting on the back of the collar. The front of the shirt features another common motif, with the Auburn and Under Armour logos stacked on top of each other. I personally think it makes the polo look unbalanced, with the right chest now empty. These three are priced at $84.99.
If you like the stacked logos but not the dot pattern, then the “Vented” polo line might be for you. The body looks to have a heathered pattern, and the sleeve cuffs (and armpit area) are a solid shade. The button-line features a contrasting color which adds some nice contrast. These, too, will cost $84.99.
There has to be a striped polo also available each year. This season’s edition are a bit lackluster compared to others, but keep the striping to a clean look. Save a little money with this line, as they are priced at $69.99.
Charged cotton is one of the best products from Under Armour. If these polos are anything like the t-shirts, they’re spectacular and well worth the money. And at $54.99, it’s certainly worth picking up.
Love them or hate them, the Tiger Eyes logo is back on apparel. If you’re on the side of Auburn fans that appreciate the logo, grab this polo. It’s one of the cheaper items this season, at $54.99.
Don’t like all the bells and whistles on a polo? Grab a simple shirt with nothing but the AU logo. Only a blue version is online right now, but expect an orange and white style in stores. These run at $74.99.
T-Shirts
I hope you like dot/line stripes, cause all the sideline gear features it prominently. The sideline shirts are, in my eyes, the weakest part of this season’s apparel line. The line stripe only goes up half of the torso. The lettering on the chest is so small and the spacing so bad that it only bothers me when I look at it. If you like the shirt, it will cost you $44.99.
While the first shirt is designated as the overall athlete shirt, the above shirt looks to be an alternate sideline shirt for football. It’s no surprise that only football is showcased, but I would imagine each sport would get their own shirt of the same style. Some of those will be probably be available for purchase (baseball, basketball) and others probably won’t. They’re better looking than the other shirt, and much cheaper at $29.99.
Many elements are used across multiple products, and the stacked logos look is one of them. This t-shirt is priced at $31.99.
There really aren’t many Under Armour shirts with designs on the front and back for Auburn. Now you can showcase your school spirit on the front in a nice arching wordmark and scream the battle cry on the back. All for only $31.99!
For the military personnel in your life. Common t-shirt price, at $31.99.
It’s a little surprising to me just how different some of the elements can be from product to product. The tank top above is set up in the same stacked logo design as above, but not entirely the same. The Under Armour logo is no longer on the bottom, replaced with a simple AU, and the line in between is now the Northwestern stripe. $31.99.
Enjoy your workout a little more while wearing an old school Auburn logo. This heathered tank top features the classic eagle-A logo. It will be priced at $34.99.
The ladies get another great throwback option with this heathered grey shirt. These will run at $34.99.
There’s also a simple v-neck shirt with just the AU logo. Priced at $31.99.
Long Sleeves
This long sleeve shirt looks to be a combination of the line stripe shirt and the stacked logos. The stripes are on the sleeves this time, and end around the forearm. Not sure why the design looks smaller on the blue shirt. I imagine it was a Photoshop issue and they’ll all be the same size in person. They’re only a bit more expansive, priced at $49.99.
If you want a long sleeve shirt without the line stripes, you’ll be able to save some money. This shirt is priced at $39.99.
The team-specific design is also available with longer sleeves. It’s on the cheaper end this year at $34.99.
Wear your spirit on your sleeves – literally – with this new shirt. The large AU letters on the chest have a bit of an old school feel. Priced at $36.99.
Who doesn’t love baseball tees? Who doesn’t love retro football helmet shirts?! Combine those both with this great 3/4 sleeve shirt. Listed at $39.99.
Heart on sleeve, battle cry on chest. This long sleeve shirt actually comes from the Under Armour site rather than Fanatics. Priced at $40.00.
This ladies Charged Cotton long sleeve shirt makes sure everyone knows who you’re cheering for. Price set at $39.99.
Jerseys
Jerseys are always the most popular items. Each year, now, only select numbers are available, to avoid any player likeness issues. This year you’ll find numbers 1, 2, 18, and 34 available. Fanatics only has #1 listed right now, however. They went up in price a few years ago, listed at $94.99.
If those numbers won’t do it for you, consider a custom jersey. Interesting to see this option available online, as it has slowly disappeared from the local stores. Be aware that there might be restrictions online as in stores on certain numbers and names might not be allowed. No, you probably can’t buy a #8 with Stidham on the back. Because of the customization, it’ll cost $124.99.
A few years ago, Under Armour finally revealed a higher quality “premium” jersey, featuring sewn on numbers and no screen-printing. The jump is quality is well worth the $20 upcharge and I encourage everyone to gravitate that way. The replica jerseys are nice, but the screen-printing is always subpar. Throw the jersey in the dryer and the numbers start to crack. Sit in a plastic chair? Your numbers might get stuck and peel off. For $115, I think it’s well worth upgrading.
Jackets
The sideline jackets also combine the stacked logos with the line stripe. Somehow it looks best on this product. $89.99 is the price for these.
The player-issued jacket this season is a nice navy and grey “swacket” as Under Armour called it. It looks pretty heavy, but it’s listed as a “light-weight” jacket. Coats are expensive, especially from Under Armour. It’ll be priced at $139.99.
The “threadborne” quarter-zips are a classy look and would fit well on the golf course. They’ll run at $59.99.
Because there are simply so many jackets available, I won’t list every product on its own. Instead, here’s a group in one photo.
There are also multiple traditional hoodie designs available this year.
The “big logo” hoodies look to be perfect for staying warm and taking a nap. These naps will cost you $64.99.
The stacked logo has made its way over to a hoodie. It’s priced at $64.99 as well.
The team specific bar logo is also on a hoodie. Once again, they’re priced at $64.99. This one might solely be available for purchase for football and no other sports.
Finally, this “bar wordmark” hoodie. Like the other hoodies, it is priced at $64.99.
Sweaters
No flashy gimmicks this year with the sweater vest. Gus Malzahn went all of last season without sporting his iconic vest, but is expected to break it out again this year. Unless you’re an Auburn football coach, it will cost you $59.99.
If you like the sweater but not the vest style, the full sleeve version is also available. It’s priced at $71.99.
Shorts
For whatever reason, Under Armour hasn’t released as many styles of shorts recently. In fact, there’s only one product (for adults, that is) listed on Fanatics. And of course, it features the line stripes from the rest of the sideline apparel. They’re a bit pricey, cause Under Armour, listed at $54.99.
Shoes
(image via Auburn University Bookstore)
Remember last year? Shipping issues kept the sideline shoes from being available in stores until mid October. Thankfully that hasn’t happened this year. The new shoes arrived in early August. The shoes are all white, departing from blue-based shoes for the first time in a long time, with blue surrounding the heel. These are new colorways of the HOVR line, and have the ability to connect to your phone to track running metrics. They unfortunately are not available online at this time, but you can order by calling any of the local stores. They are priced a little cheaper than last year at $100.
Tokyodachi
While not Under Armour, I wanted to showcase one of the more interesting and creative product lines available this year. Zephyr, renowned hat company, has created a Japanese anime-inspired mascot line called Tokyodachi. Over 150 mascots were re-imagined in this new style and are available in multiple applications.
I honestly thought this was a collaboration with some well-known Japanese entity, but it isn’t! Zephyr created this entire line from scratch (from what I’ve read) and I love it.
Aubie looks menacingly adorable in this recreation. These will be available in t-shirts, hats, stickers, lapel pins, flags, and so much more.
Auburn Uniform Database
We’ll finish off this year’s apparel guide with some personal merchandise. As you may be aware, the Auburn Uniform Database is celebrating five years this season. A special anniversary logo was released to commemorate, and it is available on a t-shirt.
There are many other designs available for purchase on the AUD TeePublic page. In addition to t-shirts, you can purchase any of the designs on coffee mugs, tumblers, posters, tote bags, hoodies, baby onesies, and so much more.
While that was a lot of products showcased, it still isn’t all. There are many products that just didn’t fit in this time around and as always, much more will be released throughout the athletic season. I hope you will use this as a guide to plan out some shopping – for your next trip to Auburn or even for Christmas. Be sure to follow me on Twitter and stay tuned as I will share any other new products released.
For even more Auburn gear, be sure to check out the Auburn Uniform Database shop. Multiple designs are available on many different products, including t-shirts. Your purchase goes back to support this site. Be sure to follow the Auburn Uniform Database for more apparel releases throughout the year. The new season is so close. The first games begin in just a few days. Auburn’s first home game is this coming Saturday. But what will you be wearing? What will you be purchasing this year? Here, we take a look at all the new items that will be filling the shelves at your favorite stores in Auburn. Most of the products, images, and prices are from the AUTeamShop website. Prices and selection may vary depending of store.
Do remember that this is not the entire selection of products available this season. The stores will typically carry more than is ever available online. Plus, once the season goes on, stores get more in stock.
If you would like to purchase any of these products, most of them are listed online. You can follow the affiliate link here to place an order, and a percentage of the sale will support the Auburn Uniform Database. You can also click on most of the images to reach the specific item’s online page.
Hats
As is tradition here, we start from the top and work our way down. Like each year, Under Armour design a single look throughout most of their products, and just change out colors and place logos where needed. This year’s hat design features a dot matrix of sorts, somewhat in the shape of raindrops, running down the sides of the bills of the caps. As always, these hats come in all three colors (orange, blue, white) and come in fitted and adjustable styles. They’re priced at $34.99.
There’s also a simpler, plain hat this season. It will (eventually) be available in each color and will be priced at $34.99. (Only the blue version is listed online. Expect white, orange, and grey in stores.)
The visors this year don’t carry the same pattern as the sideline cap, instead going traditional and plain. These will be priced at $28.99.
Anders Bookstore has shown a few other hats that will be available this season. The first is a blue crown, with a grey heathered bill, featuring the old-school block A on the front for $34.99. The other is an all grey heather cap with the Tiger Eyes logo, which will cost $35.99.
It’s a very popular trend for hats lately – abbreviations. The favorite “AUB” and “WDE” hats are also available online from Top of the World for $21.99.
J&M Bookstore showcased a new version of an old classic – the white and navy baseball cap that was traditionally paired with the pinstripe uniforms. This design was previously offered only in a fitted style, but will now be available in an adjustable style. $29.99

Polos
Under Armour’s polo line has arguably been one of the more unique aspects to each year’s catalog. The Baltimore company has enjoyed playing around with sublimated graphics in the past, and this year is no different. A Transformer-like image is visible on the main polos. Most of this year’s polos will have a small rubber patch on the sleeve, indicating the calendar year the school was established. The main sideline polos will cost $83.99 a piece.
A secondary line of polos includes thin horizontal stripes. These come in two-color sets (there’s also an orange version available), but a separate style with three, larger stripes is also available. These will also cost $83.99.
There’s also a line of polos that feature the newly popular heather pattern across the entire product. A navy and greenish-grey version have been released already. Both feature tone-on-tone Auburn and Under Armour logos, so they won’t be as loud and in your face as many of the other designs. Again, these will be priced at $83.99.
There are a lot of non-Under Armour polos available this season. There’s a handful of different companies represented among these shirts, but I’m most interested in a new (to me) brand – Original Retro Brand. They have a plain white polo with the old Sailor Aubie logo on the chest. Best of all, it won’t break the bank. This polo will cost $39.99.
T-Shirts
This is my favorite part of the line. I love seeing the new t-shirt designs each and every year. This year, I think there’s a lot of great shirts, but also a lot that aren’t so great. Let’s start with this year’s sideline/athlete shirt. Under Armour has loved pushing Auburn’s Northwestern stripes over the years, and they continue to do so this season. The new primary shirts will feature the AU logo front and center with the striping extending out from each side, fading away to the sides of the chest. The shirt has some odd seam pattern, different than most other Under Armour shirts. These will run at $41.99.
I must warn that these shirts may not be the most comfortable. One person was not happy with their purchase, saying the sleeves were incredibly tight and uncomfortable due to the odd stitching pattern. More so than with any other shirt, be sure to try this one on before purchasing if you can.
There’s also a long sleeve version of the striped shirts. These will naturally be a little more expensive, costing $46.99.
If you don’t like the extra design aspects and want a simple shirt to showcase your fandom, these next ones are for you. Enjoy the Under Armour material with a simple AU logo large and in charge in the middle of the shirt, in either blue, orange, white, or grey. These will be priced at $31.99, so unless you just really like Under Armour, you can get this design much cheaper elsewhere.
Released back in the spring, there looks to be a new template that features the school name, the striping, and the specific team. Hopefully these will be used more this season, showcasing each sport. If previous years are any indication, we might only see baseball and football showcased. With a large contingency of softball and basketball fans, among others, I hope more styles are available to purchase. If not, they might be just for the athletes like previously.
The worst of the shirts, in my opinion, is the stacked design. Rather than having one logo on each side, creating a balanced look, Under Armour decided to put both their own logo and the team logo one on top of the other. I don’t see this shirt selling well, as it’s a poor design, and it’s also priced online at $44.99, more expensive than the primary sideline shirt.
Under Armour has been great with the retro logo merchandise in recent years. This season, there will be a few more new shirts available. There’s the simple blue shirt with the eagle through the A, the eagle-A logo with the arched text, and (my favorite) the old two-bar grey facemask helmet. Each of these designs will cost $34.99.
Anders Bookstore has once again showcased designs not found elsewhere. The first showcases the AU logo above two stripes, which is rather similar to Nike’s primary design for the year. The other has “Auburn Tigers Pride” written in a unique font. Each are priced at $32.99.
The Original Retro Brand also has a few t-shirts available, one with the eagle-A logo, and the Sailor Aubie logo. You’ll pay $29.99 for each of these designs.
The Original Retro Brand also has a few shirts that honor the 1957 National Championship team, as this is the 60th anniversary of the team. These will also cost $30.00.
2017 marks the 125th anniversary of the beginning of the Auburn football program. Much like the 75 years of Jordan-Hare Stadium logo from 2014, the 125 Years logo will not be worn on the football uniform, and might not be used whatsoever inside the stadium. But it will be available on some merchandise. This Fanatics Brands t-shirt is a great way to showcase the logo. It’s also cheap, only costing $24.99.
For more women’s specific wear, be sure to check out the Auburn University Bookstore, as they always carry more items.
(image via Auburn University Bookstore)
Under Armour has a new “Iconic Collection” line, meant to honor the tradition and past of collegiate programs. Anders Bookstore is apparently the only bookstore that will have these in-store. Currently, we only have visuals on a few of them, but expect to see many more styles throughout the season. Also, the other schools participating in the program have men’s products along with the women’s styles. Expect Auburn to get those as well.
Jerseys
As has been the case the last few years, there are only a few select numbers available for purchase on jerseys. Even if you want to customize one, you are now stuck using the predetermined jersey numbers. This year’s numbers include 1, 2 for Cam Newton, 17 for the year, and 34 for Bo Jackson. Pat Sullivan’s number 7 was available last year. Each is available in either white or navy.
This year, Under Armour is once again providing a better quality jersey. These “premium” style jerseys feature the embroidered numbers, stripes, and logos. They run a bit pricier, but are truly worth the price. I would highly suggest anyone interested in purchasing a jersey goes with this style. They will withstand more and you won’t have to worry about the details cracking if you put it in the dryer like on the screen-printed versions.
Screen-printed jerseys will cost $94.99 for me, $84.99 for women sizes, and youth jerseys will cost about $64.99. Premium jerseys start at $105, and I believe are only available in men’s sizes.

Jackets
There are a lot of new items available in the outerwear category, for both men and women. And don’t worry, I’m sure that the designs listed as “men’s” will also be available in women’s styles at some point.
The first hoodie shown has the Northwestern stripes around the bottom. I imagine this to be the athlete-issued outwear item for the season.
Naturally, these run at different prices. They range between $46.99 to $179.99, with most sitting around the $80 mark.
Shorts
This year hasn’t seen nearly the number of shorts as has been available in previous years. Only one pair has been added to the AUTeamShop site, while the other two come from Anders Bookstore. The grey set is priced at $42.99, the blue and grey pair is priced at $X, and the blue and orange pair will cost $62.99.
Previous khaki short designs have featured a blue and orange AU logo. But this year, the AU logo has gone khaki as well, creating a not-so-loud tone-on-tone look. $74.99
Shoes
This year’s tennis shoes mark a big first for Under Armour – school logos. Since Under Armour has been releasing shoes to the public, the individual school’s have never had their logos present. The base of the shoes are covered in a heathered pattern. It feels a little lacking on orange, though.
The shoes have been a very popular topic on Twitter. Unfortunately, you will have to wait a little while before being able to pick these up. Shipments to all the stores have been delayed a few times now. The best case scenario has today is that they will be available in mid-September or October. There is also concerns now that they might not even make it to stores period. Fingers crossed.
Under Armour’s website does have the shoes listed online and – at the time of writing this – has them in stock. Not sure if they will suffer from the same shipping issues that the retail stores are dealing with. Under Armour’s site has them listed at $109.99, which is a good bit lower than the $130 price point from previous years.
(image via Auburn Football)
If you want a new pair of Auburn-branded Under Armour shoes today, though, you can always pick up the new set of slides. These loud-orange flippers feature the Northwestern stripes on the soles with the AU logo on the top. They run at $44.95.
Footballs
Auburn is one of four schools this season to use special Wilson-made footballs. One panel of the football will feature a sublimated Tiger Eyes logo and the AU emblem. It will cost you $130 to pick up the same ball that will be thrown around Pat Dye Field this season.
Backpacks
I typically wouldn’t think to add backpacks to this list, but there were so many recently added online that I felt it was worth it. The traditional backpack looks awfully similar to the same one offered the last few years. It comes in four different colors and will be priced at $67.99.
(image via Auburn University Bookstore)
The typical string backpack also looks like previously offered styles. It’s priced at $34.99.
There are two styles of duffel bags available online. The first is the traditional box design, and will run at $89.99. The other is rounded, costs $42.99, and looks perfect to fit a popular Pokemon meme.
The most interesting item available here is what is being called a “Downtown Backpack.” The design is different than the rest, as it has a single flap on tap to cover everything. This one will cost $79.99.
#AuburnFamilyFriday
One of the prizes offered during #AuburnFamilyFriday (image via Auburn – Love it! Show it!)
There’s a brand new promotion out of Auburn this season. Actually, it’s from the Auburn Licensing and Trademark Office. #AuburnFamilyFriday is going to be every Friday throughout the year. It’s a way for Auburn fans to not only share their Auburn gear, but also possibly get free merchandise. For the first weekend of the promotion, a special “Auburn Family” decal was given out for any officially licensed purchase at specific locations. Another week saw a new cap from Legacy Athletic. The official Auburn – Love it! Show it! site, the Licensing Office’s campaign site, has the Legacy Athletic hat as a contest prize for every Friday throughout the season.
There might be more prizes offered throughout the year. To enter, all you have to do is post a picture wearing or using an officially licensed Auburn product, post it on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter, and tag it with #AuburnFamilyFriday. Read more about the promotion on the official site and follow on Twitter.
So there you have it – the majority of the products that you will find in stores this year. Don’t forget, the online stores will have different products than the brick-and-mortar stores. And each physical store will have different options from each other. Be sure to visit each store – Anders, J&M, Tiger Rags, AU Bookstore, AUTeamShop – when you make a trip to the Loveliest Village on the Plains.
For even more Auburn gear, be sure to check out the Auburn Uniform Database shop. Multiple designs are available on many different products, including t-shirts. Your purchase goes back to support this site. Be sure to follow the Auburn Uniform Database for more apparel releases throughout the year. Like the AUD Facebook page, and follow me on Twitter for even more uniform news.

As happens every year, Under Armour has a new lineup of merchandise for the upcoming athletic season. Last year wasn’t the strongest for Under Armour, but this year looks to have a bit more potential. The majority of these products, images, and prices come from the AUTeamShop.
Hats
As always, we’ll start from the top. This year’s sideline cap features a unique slanted stripe on the bill of the cap. Can’t say I’m a big fan of it, but it’s easily an improvement on some of the recent hat designs. These designs come available in adjustable and fitted versions. These are priced at $32.99.
It is nice to see Under Armour do something different, as many of the previous designs have just featured slight tweaks over the years. Also, gotta love the contrasting color squatchee!
The same design with the odd bill stripe is also used for the visors. For now, the website only showcases blue and white versions, but I would expect to see an orange one in the stores. It is odd that the white visor features an orange AU logo with a blue outline, whereas the white cap features the normal blue and orange logo. These will run at $28.99.
Under Armour also has a plain style hat, again available in fitted and adjustable styles. These are extremely similar to the hats released last year, possibly with just a new material if anything. Again, the website only showcases white and blue versions, but there probably is an orange version available, too. These will run a little cheaper than the other hats at $24.99.
Polos
Under Armour loves to do some crazy things with their polo designs, relatively speaking. Last year had the weird sublimated arrow. Under Armour has recently been pushing a “heathered fabric” that features a unique pattern. That fabric and pattern don the shoulders, sleeves, and collar of the new sideline polos. Grabbing the newest polos will cost you $79.99.
The heathered fabric doesn’t look very off-putting in these promo photos, but it’s very noticeable in these photos from the AU Bookstore.
Photo via @AU Bookstore
In addition to the sideline polo, there are two different styles of “pinstripe,” per say, polos. The first, dubbed the “showdown” polo by Under Armour, features horizontal pinstripes on the sleeves and body, and vertical striping on the chest area. These are priced at $79.99
The second style, what Under Armour is calling “Kirkby,” is just horizontal striping throughout the entire piece. The website lists two versions available – navy and black. Again, wouldn’t be surprised to see an orange version. These are slightly cheaper than the “Showdown,” priced at $69.99.
T-Shirts
This is when things get fun. Just like the polos, Under Armour enjoys going a little crazy with the t-shirts. This is where I see this year’s line being stronger than last. Last year’s designs weren’t necessarily bad, but there were a few items that really hurt the line overall. From what’s already available, this year is a big improvement.
Let’s start with the athletes’ shirt. Each year Under Armour picks a design to hand out to every athlete. These are very simple and feature a slanted stripe on the sleeves, very similar to the caps at the top of the page. Again, there is only a blue and white version listed online, but I expect to see an orange one, especially after you take a look at the sets below. These, and most of the shirts featured, will run at $39.99.
This design is also available in long-sleeves, with all three colors. These will be $44.99.
Alongside the athlete shirts, there’s also a team shirt. Now, the website (and possibly all the stores) only showcases football, but you’ll see athletes wearing their individual sport underneath the stripe. Under Armour has truly loved pushing Auburn football’s uniform stripes, and I think these are some of the best they’ve released lately. These are priced at $29.99.
These will also be available in long sleeves, and priced at $37.99.
The next shirt is one of the latest designs released, and easily my least favorite. Auburn has used a logo very similar to this one a few times over the last few months, and I’ve never liked it. Why? Cause not only is it a poor design, it’s nothing unique. This design motif is used so often there’s even a site dedicated to proving it. So, needless to say, I wasn’t happy to see it on a t-shirt. Granted I really love the circle stripes on the bottom, I’d love to see it around something completely different. This shirt will cost you $32.99, if you really want it.
Along with the new logo designs, Under Armour has really enjoyed pushing the classic throwback logos. The next set is a mix of the two, with one old logo and one new(er). I’ve never really liked the eagle logo, but many people do by the feedback I’ve gotten on Twitter. I do like the Sailor Cap Aubie, although it doesn’t seem to be as distressed as some other Under Armour shirts featuring the same logo have been in the past. Both of these cost $29.99.
Probably the oddest design of the year features a two-tone shirt, with contrasting colored shoulders. I posted these to Twitter to get a reaction, and I didn’t get a good reception back. I’m still split on whether I like them or not, and of course some look better than others. They’ll cost $39.99.
Oddly enough, there are more options available at the AU Bookstore than available online.
Finally, there’s a few individual designs that have been released thus far. Due to the few variations, I’ve just lumped them together here. (Do note a few are youth sizes specifically.) They’ll run anywhere from $32.99 to $44.99.
Possibly the most popular item each year, the jerseys, are extremely similar to last year’s set. This year, there will be three numbers to chose from, rather than the two last year. Don’t get mad at Auburn, as this has become a normal choice from universities after the recent legal issues regarding using player likeness. Generic numbers are here to stay for a while, so be glad you have the choice between two of Auburn’s greatest player numbers (the use of these numbers, especially the #34, on a modern template will be saved for another day, probably). Replica jerseys will cost $74.99 for adults, and $64.99 for youth sizes (although I have seen them at $84.99 and $75.99 recently).
The biggest update to the line of jerseys this year is the addition of a “premier” jersey. These were actually available in-store during the middle of last season, but they were never added online. These updated jerseys are a much better quality than the replica editions, as the numbers and lettering are all embroidered tackle twill, which is much closer to the on-field style than the older screen-printing option. These are a big upgrade in every option, and well worth the higher price tag. It’s almost unbelievable they are offering these at a $104.99 price tag. I would highly recommend purchasing one of these rather than their cheaper counter-part.
Photo via @AndersBookstore
Another option for this season is sporting the name and number of past Auburn football players. These seem to be posted online at weird times, so watch out for other player options. These, sadly, are shown on the old Under Armour template, so don’t expect the same quality from the current jerseys, even at the $109.99 price tag. (Please note that the $124.99 options were available last season, so they’re older than the new bunch.)
Shorts
This year’s shorts also carry the slanted stripe motif from the caps and team shirts. They’re $54.99, so I hope they’re comfy.
Shoes
One of the best things, in my opinion, that Under Armour has done over the past year or two is release the shoes designed specifically for the athletes for sale to the public. Under Armour shoes get a bad rep for lack of support and other issues, but kudos to the guys in Baltimore for making their product better with every installment. Today’s UA shoes are incredibly comfortable and a great choice in my eyes. Prices will vary, of course, but they’ll run in the $130 range.
Do not miss out on these babies. Under Armour athletic shoes, available now. Limited quantity and sizes available. pic.twitter.com/Rvp106vU0G
This is nowhere near being a full-look at the Under Armour products that are currently or will be available this season. Hopefully you enjoyed this look at a good portion of the new line this season. These items can be found online at the AUTeamShop, and in-store at any of the campus bookstores, including the AU Bookstore, Anders Bookstore, and J&M Bookstore.

As the new season draws closer, Under Armour and other companies are releasing new gear for each team. New Auburn gear has been revealed throughout the summer, with more coming each day. Before you head down to the Plains to shop around for your new shirts and hats, take a look through this guide to know what to expect. Most of these items were found on The AUTeamShop, whereas some were found at other sites.
Hats
Last year, Under Armour provided three different styles of caps in Auburn colors. This year, there’s only two. The first of which is a plain colored hat – in orange, white, or blue – with a contrasting AU logo. The second is a tweaked version of last year’s sideline cap (the same design has been slightly tweaked over the last few years), this time with a two colored stripe around the bill and partly up the the side panels.
There are two styles of visors available also, each of which playing off the same design as the caps above.
Each of the caps come in a fitted and adjustable style, with the visors only being adjustable. In addition to these, there’s an adjustable cap with a contrasting bill, as well as a fitted cap with a “steel” pattern that looks like a digi camo pattern. The hats featured here range from $27.95 to $34.95.
Polos
Under Armour has revealed a new base polo design that has a unique V-shaped pattern on the chest. Jordan Spieth made this design popular after his win at the Masters, but these were already revealed for Auburn before then. The back of the polos feature WAR EAGLE written down the middle. There is also a white version available.
Another new polo design has an contrasting shoulder yoke stripe. Unfortunately, there’s only one photo available.
The typical horizontal striped polo is a really nice look this season.
All of these polos will retail at $79.99.
Two more polos, both will sell at $54.95, one of which has the State of Auburn logo on the chest, while the other has an AU logo with Auburn Tigers arched over it.
T-Shirts
As always, t-shirts will continue to be pushed out like there’s no tomorrow. Under Armour has many new shirts available for this fall, some of these actually revealed in the spring.
The first set of shirts are my favorite of the season. The top two are the same simple design, but it looks really good. The bottom left is my favorite by far. I love that Under Armour has been utilizing the Northwestern stripes so much lately, and I love how they used it here. The final shirt has a unique font, but it isn’t too off-putting.
One of the designs Under Armour keeps going back to this season is a sort of wool detailing, for lack of a better word. This design has been seen on a few shirts and shorts before. Now, we have two Auburn shirts with the design.
The only “full set” at this point has a giant AU logo on the chest and a contrasting collar. I spotted these in the bookstore during the spring, and they felt more like a jersey than a t-shirt. The material didn’t seem comfortable at all, let alone cool during the summer heat. I’m personally not a fan of these.
One of the bigger motifs used this season is the Auburn Oaks design. Under Armour has revealed a few designs, with more available from other companies.
Under Armour has been big on old school designs, and their Auburn shirts have been great.
Finally, there’s an athletic shirt with some different piping and stripes down the side. Also, there’s a new digi camo designed shirt.
All of these shirts retail from $29.95 to $44.95.
Jerseys
As the football team has updated to a new Under Armour template, the retail jerseys have as well. In the past few years, the retail stripes have been truncated, just like the team jerseys. For the first time since 2010, the retail jersey stripes go all the way around the sleeves, which looks worlds better. After the 2010 championships, two stars were added to the bottom hem of the jerseys, above the jock tag. Those two stars have now been moved to the opposite side of the tag. With the release of Under Armour’s most recent baseball and basketball jerseys, the materials have been rather thin, and felt pretty cheap. They’re much lighter than they should be, and used to be. I’ve held the new jerseys, and they seem to be much better quality than the baseball and basketball jerseys. But just be mindful of that when you shop for one. Especially since the price has increased once again, from $75.99 last year (and $65 the year before) to $80 this season. Many teams have decided to sell generic numbers, due to recent legal issues, and Auburn is one of those teams. The three numbers available are #1, like always, #15, for the 2015 season, and Bo Jackson’s #34. Some stores still have stock from last season, which include Pat Sullivan’s #7. Youth size jerseys are available and will sell for $59.99.
Vests
The Gus Vests have been ever popular since Malzahn came back to the plains. This season, Under Armour took the Northwestern stripes and put them down the sides. An orange and blue version are available now, but I wouldn’t be surprised if a white one is soon. These current sweaters are a lighter material – not a true sweater vest – and therefore are much cheaper, only $64.99.
War Eagle! These are certainly just a small selection in the long line of gear that will be available throughout the season. I will continue to share any new designs I see on my twitter account, so be sure to follow. I hope this piece helps you pick a few items before making a trip to Auburn, cause we all know how crazy the bookstores can get on gameday.

Football season is right around the corner. As always, every team and manufacturer has released a whole line of new on-field gear. There is so many different versions of merchandise, many of which look pretty much the same. Today we’re going to go through some of the new merchandise and help you determine what’s new and what’s old, and how to avoid paying too much money for an older item.
www.auteamstore.com
Hats
There are three new helmet designs for this year. Each comes in a fitted and adjustable version, to suit everyone’s preferences. The main “on-field” coaches hat will be this one. These are very similar to two of the previous on-field hats. There’s on design that is simple – AU on the front, UnderArmour logo on the side, nothing more. The final hat consists of a new material, as well as a stitching pattern up the front and back two panels. These hats range from $29.95 to $31.95. Jerseys
When it comes to jerseys, the school (or the bookstores, not entirely sure) sends a list of numbers, typically three or four, to UnderArmour to mass produce to sell online and in all the stores around the country. The year, there are three numbers available – the typical #1, a #14, and the historic Bo Jackson #34. White jerseys of the #14 are available as of now, according to Auburn’s official web-store. Prices have gone up on jerseys, with adult prices going from $65 to $74.95, and youth sizes went from $55 to $59.95. This year’s jerseys are slightly different that last years, with the official descriptions mentioning that this year’s jerseys have “plastosol graphics for team name and numbering,” whereas previous jerseys had “heat-sealed” or “screen-printed” numbers. For the 2012 season, UnderArmour made a mistake in producing jerseys. All away jerseys consist of a navy collar. The 2012 retail jerseys had a white collar. Thankfully UnderArmour fixed this and those were the only ones that had the wrong colored collar. So if you spot one of those in a store, you’ll know that they are already two years old.
Polos
There’s all sorts of polos with an Auburn logo embroidered on them, so let’s just stick to the new UnderArmour designs. The designs above are entitled “Ultimate Coaches Sideline Performance Polo”. Thus far only a navy and orange version are available, but I would expect a white version to follow. These are priced at $74.95 T-Shirts
T-shirts are the cheapest and most worn article of clothing, so of course companies will produce many different designs. Above are just a few of them, with the top design, the “Auburn Football” shirt with the two horizontal stripes, will most likely be the “top” shirt pushed by UnderArmour. There are a number of designs similar to the “WAR EAGLE” shirt that has the bars through the wordmark. The thing about most apparel items is that the online stores won’t have nearly the amount of different designs as are available in the many different stores. These UnderArmour shirts range from $29.95 to $34.95. There are multiple “Auburn Fast” shirts available. The basic, charcoal grey shirt runs at $26.95, while the UnderArmour shirt, with the Auburn Fast and giant AU logo on the back, costs $32.95.
There’s also a few retro adidas shirts available, featuring fan-favorite vintage Auburn logos. These each cost $29.95 Women
The ladies have a ton of new apparel options to chose from. Above are just a few of those. And how can you not like the two with the shoulder striping?! These designs range between $21.95 and $39.95. More options available on line and in stores. Sweater Vests
J&M Bookstore
How could I leave off the now infamous Gus Vests? Well, you can now own your very own vest! Albeit a bit different. The “true” vest that Gus wore during the National Championship game that started a fan frenzy had white stripes with a blue field, whereas the retail versions have a colored field between the stripes. Gus has been sporting the retail version around, so these may turn into the on-field version. That or Gus is making UnderArmour and retailers happy by repping their merchandise. These two both run at $134.99 Now, a new trend within the NFL and college football merchandise is the team-specific “Ugly Christmas Sweaters”. Auburn actually two of these available for the winter season. These each cost $65.95.
The 2014 season also coincides with the 75th Anniversary of Jordan-Hare Stadium, so there’s a few items with the special logo. J&M Bookstore is selling the below design for only $18.99
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________ And that’ll do it for this year’s new gear. Like mentioned a few times before, many more items are available for purchase at the bookstores. Many more hats and t-shirts will be available throughout the year. I also expect a few new pairs of shorts to be released. One way to know what will eventually be available to the public is notice what the athletes are wearing. Each student-athlete is given a box full of new gear – shoes, shirts, hats, jackets, sweatsuits, etc. Many of the above items (the Auburn Football shirt, possibly one of the hats) will be given to the players at the beginning of the season, with more coming later in the season. Many of the items worn by players in the past were soon available in the bookstores and online. So stay tuned for that. War Eagle!
I was thinking about making this a monthly post or something, but after the last one went live, I got so many more entries. I love seeing the old gear, so I couldn’t wait til next month or so to share! Some of these are just too great not to share with the interwebs. Hope you enjoy as much as I have!
I’ll begin with Randy Comer, who has sent me some awesome information and pictures over the past so while. These first two pieces will be from Randy. This first one is an awesome 1990’s baseball jersey that looks pretty similar to my 2005 jersey and 2006 vest.
@Clintau24 A Russell Athletic Auburn baseball jersey from the 90s. pic.twitter.com/17jTmBwxd2
This thing is awesome. But it certainly can’t compete with Randy’s baseball hat from the 70s, when Randy walked on to the baseball team. This thing is just a beauty:
This next picture is from Richard Stephens. Richard’s father, Carl, was the PA announcer in the past and worked along side coach Shug Jordan on the Auburn Football Review Show. Richard found a few pictures of his father during his career, and this is one of my favorites. Take some time and look at some of his other pictures. They’re worth your time. Richard is still trying to determine the game and date of this picture, so if you see anything in here that could help pinpoint that, let him know!
My dad, Carl Stephens, at the PA microphone in Jordan-Hare Stadium. Not sure when, but a long time ago. #wareagle pic.twitter.com/Kbk9yJ12fE
The next piece of gear is from James Coker. James, or De Swayze as he’s called around here, sent in two awesome autographed footballs. One has the signatures from Quinton Groves, and a little note from coach Tommy Tuberville. The other one is a personalized signing from coach Gus Malzahn. (Looks like mine pal!). I was so excited to see this picture, because Quinton Groves was always one of my favorite Auburn players. I was ecstatic when my Jacksonville Jaguars drafted him! I even have his #93 jersey in my closet back home!

I’m going to end this post with by far one of my favorite pictures. AuBurntOrange sent me this AUSOME 1972 jersey!! This jersey was apparently worn by Miles Jones that season. He told me that he had walked on the football team in the 70s, and saw equipment managers taking full boxes of uniforms and throwing them in the dumpster. So he did what any smart man would do; he jumped in and saved them! Unfortunately, he gave them all away (and didn’t save me one!!). But anyways, I absolutely love this thing. Message me and I’ll send you my address. It’ll look great on my wall :).
And that will rap up this rare second post for one week. Check back Monday as I have a detailed look at the women’s basketball uniforms. Trust me on this one, there is SO much more about these that you never knew!! I’m also working on some new features for this site. Check back here and follow me on twitter and you’ll eventually learn exactly what I mean!
